Music has the power to give our feelings a place to belong—it can handle it all.

Greg Best

Greg Best (AKA BestEver) is a producer, songwriter, and session musician with a unique musical intuition that soars across genres. From solo work to collaborations, Greg brings a forward-thinking yet timeless approach to songwriting, production, and live music performance. He wants to remind everyone that music has the power to give our feelings a place to belong—that music can handle it all.

Since age 3, Greg has heard his original compositions as if played through his own set of secret headphones. This gift beckoned him to pursue a life in music. Greg studied at Nazareth University in Rochester, NY, under his mentor, the late jazz composer Paul Smoker. Under Smoker’s guidance, Greg deconstructed everything he thought knew about music, and began creating new sounds with virtually infinite sonic possibilities.

Since 2001, Greg has survived with type-1 diabetes, an invisible disability that effects every aspect of his life. His original music often tells stories of grief, joy, love, and empathy. He is a community advocate for mental wellness, creative arts therapies, arts education, and suicide prevention. He and his wife Kim, a board-certified music therapist, created Music Can Help to bring people back to music as a source of health in their everyday lives.

Greg connects to himself and others through artistic expression and exploration. He is currently producing new music and collaborating with like-minded artists worldwide. You can experience Greg’s latest music on the “This Is Greg Best” Spotify playlist.
